Party Tweet Leads To Riot At University Of Delaware

One tweet from the folks of the YouTube channel "I"m Shmacked" started a frat party that quickly turned into an out-of-hand riot in the streets. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

It's a frat party riot!

A wild scene broke out as thousands of students from the University of Delaware flooded the streets. Students swarmed and jumped on top of cars. It was total chaos and rowdiness.

And can you believe all this craziness started with just one little tweet?

The message: "It's an I'm Schmacked party in Delaware!" was retweeted more than 1,200 times as students got the word out.

Then the streets turned into chaos. Students were seen chanting 'USA'.

Pop culture expert Cooper Lawrence told INSIDE EDITION, "This is social media to the 'Nth' degree. You're forced to be rowdy because you're in a group and you get into that group think. You're forced to do things you wouldn't normally do, but now you're on tape and you can't take it back."

So, what is "I'm Shmacked"? It's a YouTube channel that follows a party bus from college campus to campus recording 'no-holds-barred shockumentaries.'

INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander spoke with "I'm Schmacked's" founder Arya Toufanian and his crew.

"This instance though was a bit extreme. It's not how our company conducts or how the students behave," said Arya Toufanian about the events that took place.

Cops were called in from all points in the state to break up the mayhem. Three people were arrested including an I'm Shmacked cameraman, Marcus Hyde.

"Why were you arrested that night?" asked Alexander.

Hyde replied, "It was just bad timing honestly. We got to the  "so-called" party, and when we got there everyone was dispersing. I was unaware everyone was dispersing and that there were police officers present. Then, they snatched me up and took me into custody."

Classes at the University of Delaware started two weeks ago. And just for the record, tuition for out-of-state students comes to $40,000.Hope their parents don't get too upset when they see this.
