Star of TV's 'The Little Couple' Faces Cancer Battle

The heartbroken couple of TLC's The Little Couple is telling their story to People magazine, on stands Friday.

People magazine staff editor Charlotte Triggs told INSIDE EDITION, "She had already been through so much in her life, it was really a difficult time for them."

Jennifer and husband Bill Klein, who have two adopted children, learned last August that she was pregnant. But two months later, she lost the baby and was diagnosed with a rare cancer known as choriocarcinoma. The cancer has now spread to her lungs.

Jennifer told People magazine, "Sometimes I think, 'seriously? Really? How can this be happening?'"

INSIDE EDITION spoke with her oncologist, Dr. Concepcion R. Diaz-Arrastia, who said, "This was just bad luck. It's a rare tumor. The great thing about this malignancy, about this cancer, is that it's very curable."

Jennifer is now undergoing chemotherapy, a complicated procedure for a person her size. But her will to live is stronger than ever.
