INSIDE EDITION went inside the apartment where a man's hoarding has grown so problematic, he's facing eviction.
It’s among the worst cases of hoarding ever.
You wouldn't know it by looking, but the apartment is in one of the wealthiest zip codes in America, New York’s Tony Upper East Side. And the 65-year-old hoarder, Kevin McCrary, comes from TV royalty.
Now, McCrary is being evicted. Years of hoarding are finally catching up to him. His neighbors have called the stench "beyond disgusting."
The conditions inside the apartment are so bad that he couldn’t even open his front door. To get in, he had to climb four stories on the fire escape.
Most surprising about McCrary is his privileged past. His parents Tex McCrary and Jinx Falkenburg were pioneers in radio and TV in the 1950's. They hung out with the elite, including Bob Hope and his wife and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. His birth in 1948 was even featured on the cover of Look magazine.

McCrary's plight was reported on Sunday in The New York Times. He told them his parents “were full time celebrities and part-time parents.”
They both died in 2003. Now, their troubled son who lives off a trust fund is facing eviction on Friday.
Right now, he doesn't know where to go. In an exclusive interview with INSIDE EDITION, McCrary said, “I’m gonna have to go take a left on 1st Avenue and then I’ll decide where I’m going.”
McCrary admitted it will be hard to find a landlord who will rent to him.
INSIDE EDITION’s Les Trent asked McCrary, “What would your parents say if they saw you living like this?”
McCrary responded, “I think ‘How did all this happen? What did we do wrong?”
