Mother In High-Speed Police Chase With Young Daughter In Car

INSIDE EDITION has details on a terrifying high speed police chase when a mom fled with her five-year-old daughter in the car.

It was a series of terrifying moments when a mom was pursued and she had her five-year-old daughter in the car.

In dash cam video, she can be seen pulling the girl closer, placing her on her lap as she goes 75-miles-an-hour in rural Michigan.

Pursuing cops feared it would end in tragedy, and told her, "Pull over! Think of the kid!"

Inside the car was 34-year-old Aubrey Coy. On her Facebook page she appears to be an attractive and caring mom to her daughter, Auraya. Photos show the adorable little one looking full of joy and happiness. But behind the smiles, there was concern.

Aubrey has a history of arrests for theft, resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine. She had lost custody of her daughter, and the child was living with her grandmother.

Cops say Aubrey suddenly took off with little Auraya during a supervised visit at the grandmother's house where the girl lives.

After driving from Indiana and into Michigan, the sheriff’s deputy pulled her over, but when he reached in to grab the keys, Aubrey sped away.

The five mile chase came to an end when cops used stop sticks to flatten the tires. However, she then fled with her daughter in her arms.

Aubrey wouldn’t let go of the child and police wrestled for control of the girl.

She said in court, "I feel like I am dreaming or something, I have no idea how I got here."

Later in court, the mom admitted she needed help, saying, "I am praying. I have prayed and prayed and prayed, that is all I have done was pray. I have full custody of my daughter and the next thing I know, I wake up here."

That mother is being held on $150,000 bond.
