Bucket List For Dogs: How They Showered Dukey With Love

INSIDE EDITION speaks with the owners of Dukey, the Black Lab who was given a bucket list of his favorite things before it came time to say goodbye.

Heartbreaking photos chronicle in every detail the last day on Earth for a black Labrador Retriever named Dukey.

A bone tumor has ravaged Dukey's body. His front right leg had to be amputated.

Jordan Roberts adopted Dukey three years ago after watching a video.

INSIDE EDITION'S April Woodard asked Roberts, "Is it hard for you to look back at the video?"

Roberts resonded, "No. It's hard because it's emotional."

Dukey has been a loyal and loving dog ever since that day. But now, the time has come to say farewell to a great pet. So Jordan, who lives in Houston, decided to make a bucket list! Yup, a bucket list for a dog. Just like the film starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

A blog post titled, "I Died Today," details Dukey's last day from his perspective.

The Black Lab got a meal typically forbidden for dogs. "I ate a lot of hamburgers. We had a party."

Dukey also enjoyed splashing around time at his happiest place ever, a waterpark. "We got wet today."

There's even a photo of the beloved dog blissfully smiling in the grass.

But the time has come to bid Dukey goodbye. No one wants to, but the vet says Dukey's tumor is incurable and he's in pain.

As the blog puts it. "I felt the love today."

Robyn Arouty took the photos.

The blog ends with sweet photos of Dukey and final words.

"Well, I didn't say goodbye. I said 'til we meet again. God, I was lucky. Our time was short. But you both gave me a second chance and we lived it up together. Always, Dukey."
