Veteran Brings Down the House at NFL Game
The song that's been sung countless times at sporting events across America has perhaps never been sung with this much passion.
To a cheering crowd, Navy veteran Generald Wilson sang, "Oh, say, can you see..."
Maybe that's because Wilson really knows what it means to be an American, and the crowd at the Monday night football game in Philadelphia felt his sincerity in every word of our national anthem.
As rockets flew, Wilson continued singing, "And the rocket's red glare..."
INSIDE EDITION's Steven Fabian spoke to Wilson via Skype.
Fabian said, "Describe that experience last night, as a veteran singing the national anthem on the football field on the night before Veterans Day."
Wilson responded, "Well, it was an awesome experience. If you haven't been overseas, you really don't know what you have here. It's awesome to be a part of this country."
And on Veterans Day, we thought it was the perfect time to check in on another veteran.
Remember Jim Wolf who served in the Army and the National Guard during the First Gulf War? A video of him getting a total makeover went viral last Veterans Day.
Today, we are happy to report that Wolf is celebrating one year of being sober, and he is now working with his sister at her antique warehouse.
Just as Wolf described his makeover as a miracle, "miraculous" is the word for this unforgettable rendition of our national anthem.
