Handcuffed Woman Steals Cop Car, Speeds Off At 100mph

INSIDE EDITION has the wild story of woman who was arrested by police and somehow managed to speed off in the cop car while handcuffed!

A lady escaped in a police cruiser while driving with her hands cuffed behind her back!

The drama began when a mom and her 27-year-old daughter were pulled over by cops who were investigating a complaint from a department store about stolen earrings.

The suspects were placed in separate police cruisers. That's when the daughter lost it and screamed, “Mom! Mommy! Mom!”

Cops say the suspect was handcuffed in the backseat of the car and somehow crawled feet first through a 11X12 inch opening in the glass partition. Moments later, off she went.

Incredibly, she was steering with one knee and her fingertips. She somehow managed to take a bend in the road. Then, steered into oncoming traffic, she passed a school bus, and forced other vehicles to get out of her way.

She even passed another cop car, all at speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour and all while handcuffed!

After ten miles she steered onto a narrow road and pleaded with a passerby to help her.

She asked, “Hello? Can you help me? Can you help me?”

Then, she ditched the car, the Dash Cam captured her as she ran away.

Former New York Detective Pat Brosnan showed INSIDE EDITION’s Diane McInerney, "Your range of steering on the wheel is limited to 180 versus 360. So, she had to, at high speed, even low speed, get out of the way of oncoming traffic, she would have been seriously restricted. Very dangerous.

McInerney asked, "She could have killed somebody?"

He replied, "Absolutely!"

Twenty-seven-year-old Roxanne Rimer wasn't free for long. She was caught minutes after abandoning the police car. She told reporters, "I don't remember nothing."
