Brian Williams "Erased" From Nightly News Brand

Brian Williams has been erased from NBC Nightly News opening credits, Jon Stewart addresses his Daily Show exit announcement, and Rosie O'Donnell taped her last appearance on The View. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

NBC is moving on from disgraced anchor Brian Williams bigtime.

Williams’ name was literally erased from the opening of Wednesday’s Nightly News. It used to say, “This is NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.”

Lester Holt has replaced Williams, who is suspended without pay for six months.

The Washington Post reports there's no guarantee Williams will ever get his job back.

Mary Murphy, journalism professor at USC-Annenberg told INSIDE EDITION, "Six months suspension may turn into a lifetime of banishment for Brian Williams if they find out he has embellished any other stories."

Daily Show host Jon Stewart spoke out about the tidal wave of reaction following his out-of-nowhere announcement that he's leaving the show later this year.

He joked on Wednesday’s show, “I guess my question to you is, did I die?”

Arby's, a favorite target of Stewart’s, even offered him a job, tweeting: “Jon, feel free to reach out to us at careers@arbys.com.”

Of course, Stewart played it for laughs, “I do not accept your peace offering.  We shall always be enemies!”

And another titan of television, Rosie O’Donnell, danced away on her final day as co-host of The View. The audience chanted her name and gave her a standing ovation.

She said, “Now you see, if that was every day, I probably would have stayed.”

At the end of Thursday’s show, she held her two-year old daughter, Dakota, and said farewell.

She said, "I just want to say thanks to all of the cast here and the crew and mostly to Barbara Walters who has always looked out for me and my career. She is an amazing woman."
