Three Simple Steps To Fix Your Finances From 'Rich Bitch'

Nicole Lapin shares three easy tips to stop wasting money and build wealth.

One woman calls herself a "Rich Bitch" and she's proud of it!

Nicole Lapin told INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret, "A rich bitch is a good thing."

Lapin is a nationally prominent personal finance expert. She says she actually likes being called the word that rhymes with rich.

She says, "Being a rich bitch isn't about the bling-bling and private jets, it's about living a rich, full life in all aspects of the word."

The 30-year-old is now dishing out advice in her new book Rich Bitch.

She says her mission is to empower women to control their own financial destiny.

Lapin says the first thing to do is treat your credit card debt like it's the enemy.

She said, "Debt is the only four letter word I don't like."

Lapin boils her plan down to three basic rules she calls 'The Three E's,' they are:

  • Essentials
  • Endgame
  • Extras

Spend 70 percent of your income on "essentials" like a car, buying groceries, clothes, and of course, housing.

She says the second "E" is "extras." Don't deny yourself that morning latte or a beach vacation, but limit your indulgence to 15% of your income. You should take that extras money out in cash so when the cash is done the party is over.

She says the remaining of the 15% of your income goes into the "endgame" - meaning retirement.

Follow her simple rules and Nicole says you, too, can be on the road to riches like a rich, well, you know the rest.
