Sting From Cute Pokemon-Like Blue Dragons Can Kill You

Remarkable-looking creatures called blue dragons are washing up by the thousands on Gulf of Mexico beaches this week. They resemble Pokemon characters and seem almost extra-terrestrial. But wildlife officials are warning beachgoers to “look but don’t touch.” That’s because the sting of these rare molluscs is excruciatingly painful. The little creatures feed on the toxic venom of the Portuguese man o’ war, who also live on the surface of the ocean. Ann Mercogliano reports.
