Referee Reportedly Pulls Out a Gun on a Player in the Middle of a Game

After an altercation on the field, one soccer ref in Brazil took things a bit too far and pulled out a gun on a player.
A referee reportedly pulled out a gun on a player during an amateur soccer match in Brazil after allegedly being kicked and punched by the man.

According to The Guardian, referee Gabriel Murta is also a police officer and is reportedly set for psychological assessment before potentially having his ability to oversee matches revoked.
According to reports, a linesman persuaded Murta to not use the gun.

This isn’t the first instance this year where the beautiful game has turned ugly.
This past summer during an amateur game in Russia, a ref pulled out a stun gun to keep unruly players at bay. The official ended up getting knocked out by a player anyway.
