A 3-year-old boy crashed a pickup truck into an embankment after his mother allegedly fell out of the vehicle while drunk, authorities said.

A 3-year-old boy took the wheel of his mother’s pickup truck when she fell out of the vehicle while driving under the influence, authorities said Thursday.

Taloa Foster, 33, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and child endangerment in Ada, Oklahoma, Reuters reported. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol took her into custody on Wednesday, after witnesses said she bounced out her pickup on a rural stretch of highway, authorities said.

Her twin 3-year-old sons were in the truck, and one was able to stand on the seat and steer the pickup across the highway before hitting an embankment, according to officials.

Foster said one the boys had undone his seat belt and she was trying to strap him back in when she fell out of the truck, officials said.

It was not clear whether Foster had been arraigned or was being held on bail. Calls from INSIDE EDITION to state troopers and the Pontotoc County District Attorney’s office rang unanswered late Thursday.
