New 'Mr. Ugly' Is Crowned in Zimbabwe... But Is He Too Handsome?

Mison Sere was chosen as Mr. Ugly on Saturday, but some are demanding a recount.
Zimbabwe's newest "Mr. Ugly" has only just been chosen, but some are already smelling a rat amid claims the winner is too handsome.
Judges chose 42-year-old Mison Sere in the 4th annual contest held Saturday. They cited his missing front teeth and hideous facial expressions as the motivation for their choice.
But, if the rioting that followed is any indication, the crowd disagreed with the decision.
Followers of William Masvinu, who had held the title since 2012, mobbed the judges, according to the Associated Press.
Masvinu told judges Sere was "too handsome" and that his ugliness wasn't natural since it depended on his missing teeth.

Contestant Patrick Mupereki reportedly shouted: "Do we have to lose our teeth to win? This is cheating."
Meanwhile, Sere was unfazed and happily took his $500 prize.
"They should just accept that I am uglier than them," he said. "I hope to get a TV contract. I already moved around schools performing and showcasing my ugliness so this is a chance to make it on TV."
