14 Unexploded Bombs From WWll Discovered in Romania

They were discovered on the country's Muresel River.

Romanian authorities believe they’ve found unexploded bombs dating back to World World ll.

A total of 14 bombs were discovered on Saturday on the country’s Muresel River by a team that was excavating the area.

Pyrotechnists came to the scene when workers found the first bomb. By nightfall, 13 more were found.

Authorities have cordoned off the area as they safely brought the bombs to the surface.

During the war, Romania's oil refineries were bombed because they provided German military with much of their fuel.

Romania was a significant contributor to Nazi Germany from the 1940s.

The United States dropped bombs on the country for the first time in June 1942, making it the first American mission against a European target.
