Mel Gibson's cameo appearance in The Hangover 2 has been pulled after some cast and crew were up in arms over the actor being in the movie. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
Mel Gibson can kiss his movie comeback goodbye.
The embattled star was slated to play a small role in the sequel to the smash hit comedy The Hangover. But following a revolt by the cast and crew, his role in The Hangover 2 is gone with the wind.
Star Zach Galifianakis was apparently expressing his unhappiness with Gibson during a radio interview where he said, "I'm in a deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something." (Source: Comedy Death-Ray)
Director Todd Phillips said the decision to hire Gibson, "Did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."
Some fans are pointing out that former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson appeared in the original Hangover.
Wrote one Huffington Post blogger, "Amazing. Nobody had a problem with convicted rapist Mike Tyson in the first Hangover, but a drunk guy who said crazy stuff, they ban."
And they've already got a replacement. Mel Gibson is being replaced in the Hangover 2 by Liam Neeson.
