Fundraiser for Dying 7-Year-Old Taunted By Neighbor
It's a heartwarming chapter in the story of Kathleen Edwards, the dying girl taunted by her adult neighbor. Family, friends, and supporters gathered to hold a fundraiser for the 7-year-old with Huntington's Disease. INSIDE EDITION has the story
Hundreds showed up in a Detroit suburb to support Kathleen Edwards, the terminally ill 7-year-old girl who was cruelly taunted by her neighbor. Jennifer Petkov shocked the nation when she posted a photo online of the dying girl in a skull and cross bones and another of the girl's deceased mother in the arms of the Grim Reaper.
But Kathleen was treated like a princess at the event, arriving in a stretch SUV at an event in her honor, where thousands of dollars were raised for her family. Her grandmother told INSIDE EDITION, "It brings back my faith in humanity."
Neighbor Jennfier Petkov has apologized to Kathleen and her family.
