On the Scene at the Golden Globes Awards

The biggest celebrities in the world packed the star-studded red carpet for a night of glitz and glamour.

It was date night for Hollywood's hottest couples. A healthy looking Michael Douglas made a triumphant return to the spotlight with his stunning wife Catherine Zeta-Jones at his side, both celebrating that he is cancer free! Inside, the beloved actor got a rousing welcome from the A-list audience

"There's just gotta be an easier way to get a standing ovation," said Douglas.

Nicole Kidman kept a tight hold on husband Keith Urban, tenderly clasping his hand while doing interviews.

And Angelina Jolie, gorgeous as ever in green, beamed, walking arm-in-arm with Brad Pitt. Brad brought the red carpet to a stand still, posing for pictures with fans, but he let Angelina, who was nominated, have her golden moment.

Inside, Angelina cuddled up to Brad throughout the show. After all that canoodling, she had to touch up her lipstick.

Newly single Eva Longoria and Scarlett Johansson weren't letting their recent splits get in the way of a good time.

And singing sensation Justin Bieber was starstruck for his first Golden Globes. He even posed for a picture with his crush Angelina Jolie, wearing purple 3D glasses promoting his new movie, and yes, those Bieber bangs did get a trim for the big night.

"I never thought it would come to this. I'm really excited to be here," Bieber told INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville.

Norville caught up with her new travel buddy Jimmy Fallon, as they happened to be on the same flight out to Los Angeles.

"We were good. We didn't bother each other, we just said hi. You're a great person to travel with," said Fallon.

It was celebrity gridlock on the red carpet. Best Actress nominees Kyra Sedgwick and Piper Perabo put competition aside and shared a warm greeting, and 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin got caught checking out Glee's Jayma Mays before giving her a friendly hello.

INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret caught up with Carrie Underwood on the red carpet and asked what excited her the most about the night.

Underwood said, "I'm just excited about being here. I never thought I'd be coming to the Golden Globes, let alone be nominated for one. I don't know any of these people. I've never met most of them ever in my life. It's fun to be in another world."

With her new blond hair, Easy A star Emma Stone was almost unrecognizable, and it was also a confusing night for Modern Family's Sarah Hyland, who was repeatedly mistaken for another stunning star!

"I have been mistaken for Mila Kunis, and she is the most gorgeous person on this earth, so it's a high compliment," said Hyland.

The cast of Glee was out in force and it was a golden night for the hit show. Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch both picked up Best Supporting Actor Golden Globes, and the show won for the second year in a row.

Norville said to Glee's Matthew Morrison, "Congratulations! It's been an unbelievable ride for you guys."

"Yeah, it has been. It's been quite a couple of years," said Morrison.

It was also a big night for Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, who heard his name called from a very special presenter, co-star Kaley Cuoco.

Jim's win was icing on the cake to Kaley's amazing day.

"It's my first Golden Globes ever so I had all my friends over and my mom. We had brunch and champagne and slowly got ready, and I've had the best day ever," said Cuoco.

And Jim Parsons was still reeling when Moret caught up with him backstage.

Parsons said, "It really is an honor. As a kid who grew up watching awards show watching the Globes, it's really hard to believe I'm sitting here with one."

Our one-on-one room was flooded with some the nights biggest winners.

Clair Danes, who won Best Actress in a TV mini series or movie for her role as Temple Grandin told Moret, "It's a big stage. There are a lot of eyes on you that you can feel. But I came with my guy, my hubby and that helps."

Melissa Leo, who won Best Supporting Actress for role in The Fighter said, "I'm thrilled. This is going right on the bedstand."

Katey Sagal, who won Best Actress in a TV Drama said, "I really didn't think I was going to win."

Moments after winning Best Actor for The King's Speech, Colin Firth posed for pictures backstage. He was still having trouble processing his golden victory.

"You're dazed and slightly out of body,' said Firth.

Between awards, the stars mingled, hugged and even snapped photos together. Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta-Jones made all others green with envy posing side-by-side.

But all eyes were on a pregnant Natalie Portman, who left her fiancé and Black Swan co-star blushing with her acceptance speech.

And the night's biggest award went to The Social Network about the creation of Facebook.

The film's star, Jesse Eisenberg, who was a virtual unknown just months ago, can't believe how far he's come, saying, "I thought I'd be asked to the Golden Globes as a seat filler, so I'm just happy to be invited."
