MSNBC’s Ari Melber recently brought up that the Democratic presidential candidate has not been seen publicly in quite some time.

He asked guests on his show: “Is Hillary Clinton in some sort of candidate witness protection program, is she the first candidate to ever have to balance fund-raising with public appearances, because just to be real — you know we do real talk here — when you are going to fundraisers that doesn’t mean you can’t hold any public events for six days. Clinton hasn't had a public appearance in a week; and she hasn't held a press conference in 272 days.

She has spent much of August raising money at private parties, like a recent one in the Hamptons featuring Paul McCartney and one at the home of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.

Her campaign has reportedly made $143 million in August fundraisers. She made $62 million directly for her campaign and $81 million for joint fundraising committees with the Democratic National Committee.

Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement Thursday: "We are heading into the final two months of the race with the resources we need to organize and mobilize millions of voters across the country."

Henry Kissinger, who served under Richard Nixon, and George Schultz, who served under Gerald Ford, are reportedly considering endorsing Clinton, saying they disapprove of Trump.
