Terminally Ill Boy and Elvis Fan Serenaded by 'The King': 'His Reaction Was Just the Best'
An 11-year-old boy suffering from a terminal illness received a special performance from an Elvis impersonator in the hospital.
An 11-year-old boy suffering from a rare terminal disease received some “Burning Love” from one of his all-time favorite singers.
Aidan Smith was ecstatic last week as he watched Elvis impersonator Bill Chrastil walk into his hospital room.

“Aidan yells, ‘Oh, Elvis!'" mother Denise Hudgell told InsideEdition.com. “His reaction was just the best.”
On July 25, Chrastil delivered a very special private performance of one of Aidan’s favorite songs, “All Shook Up,” at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals-Lincoln Campus.
Aidan has been battling juvenile Huntington’s disease, a progressive and fatal neurological illness, since the age of 6.
In the past six months, Hudgell says Aidan's physical symptoms have worsened, but his love for animals, hot cars and especially music has remained the same.
“Aidan is a typical little boy," Hudgell said. "He is probably the friendliest kid you’ve ever met in your life. He never leaves as a stranger."
After spending five weeks in the hospital, a simple visit from “Elvis” was a major morale booster for the young boy and his family. The performance was organized by hospital staff and remained a complete surprise for Aidan.
“For them to go out of their way to do that for Aidan and our family, to give us that memory to hold onto, was beyond belief,” Hudgell told InsideEdition.com.
The performance was also a special moment that Chrastil will never forget.
"I got more from the experience than Aidan did," Chrastil told InsideEdition.com.
The next goals on Aidan's bucket list include visiting a zoo and an aquarium, both places that Aidan loves.
“We hope that we can get as much quality life for Aidan as we can,” Hudgell said.
