O'Donnell lost it during the commercial breaks on his show, reportedly taped on Aug. 29. He was seen slamming his fist on his desk, throwing a pen and launching an expletive-filled tirade in the clip, which was leaked Wednesday.
The video, which first appeared on Mediaite, showed O'Donnell in a growing state of anger as he's distracted by what he called "insanity in my earpiece" and screamed about someone with a hammer.
“Stop the hammering!,” he repeated. “Stop the hammering up there. Who's got a hammer? Where is it? Where's the hammer?”
He also threatened to get the president of the network on the phone to figure out what was going on.
“It just f***ing sucks,” O’Donnell said while staring down at his desk. “It f***ing sucks to be out here with this out of control s***.”

“A better anchorman and a better person would've had a better reaction to technical difficulties,” he tweeted Wednesday night after the clip was released. “I'm sorry.”
