Deputy Proposes to Girlfriend Who Thought She Was Being Pulled Over for a DUI
The traffic stop was an elaborate ruse.
Nothing is more frustrating than being pulled over, but this California woman had a change of heart when she realized it was all an elaborate ruse for her deputy boyfriend to propose.
Ellen Alexander of Palmdale, was pulled over for what deputies said was a suspected DUI.
In video shared by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, she is seen walking in a straight line and touching her nose during a field sobriety test.
Her boyfriend, Deputy Kevin Bowes, then sneaks up behind her and kneels on one knee.
Under another deputy’s order, Ellen turns around and is shocked to see her boyfriend presenting a ring.
“I love you!” she squealed.
The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station added on Facebook, “We are so happy for you brother, and thank you for allowing us to be part of this wonderful moment. Welcome to the Tan & Green family, and may you have a wonderful life together.”
