Low-Speed Forklift Chase Caught on Tape

It was a bizarre police pursuit, caught on camera. Cops crawled along as they pursued a forklift!

But not only did cops bust the driver they were chasing, the young man who shot the video could be facing charges too.

"I think that's completely bogus," says Marine Corporal Nathan Lowery.

The chase took place in Fort Worth, Texas. The forklift driver was weaving in and out of traffic.

Lowery was following in his car with a friend.

"Just how slowly were you driving?" asks INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent.

"I would say probably between five and ten miles per hour," says Lowery.

At one point the forklift driver made a sharp left turn, but then a few seconds later, he came back out, and the chase continued.

The convoy even made it to the highway, but they were certainly not doing highway speeds.

Then the driver stopped. Police say he made rude gestures at them.

At one point they tased him, but he kept on going.

"Evidently they just didn't hit him," says Lowery.

Further up the highway, the driver again stopped, and this time he was busted. He has been charged with DWI and with stealing the forklift.

But authorities reportedly may also charge Lowery for allegedly endangering the public by following the chase.

"What the police are saying, apparently, is that you put yourself and the public in danger by following them and shooting that video. What do you say about?" asks Trent.

"I say that's false. Was I doing anything wrong? I don't think so," Lowery said.

Lowery says there's one charge he definitely won't be facing.

"I didn't break any speed limits, that's for sure!"
