INSIDE EDITION speaks with John Ramsey

The father of the late beauty pageant princess JonBenet Ramsey, John Ramsey speaks to INSIDE EDITION about the controversial reality shows Toddlers and Tiaras and Dance Moms.
The father of JonBenet Ramsey, whose murder remains a mystery 15 years after it shocked the world, is speaking out about reality shows like Toddlers and Tiaras and Dance Moms.
"It's child abuse, frankly," Jon Ramsey told INSIDE EDITION.
Ramsey, author of the new memoir, The Other Side of Suffering, watched a controversial scene from Toddlers and Tiaras where a mom gives her little girl "go-go" juice, a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew, to energize her performance.
INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney asked, "What would you say to these moms?"
Ramsey responded, "Let little girls be little girls."
The death of six-year-old JonBenet on Christmas Eve 1996 put a harsh spotlight on kid beauty pageants, but John Ramsey says reality shows have changed things dramatically since his late wife, Patsy entered his daughter in them.
"Patsy and JonBenet had fun with it. They didn't take it seriously," said Ramsey.
JonBenet would be 21 now. He said we may never know who killed JonBenet.
McInerney asked, "Do you think the case will ever be solved?"
Ramsey responded, "The longer it goes the more difficult it is going to be. The one hope we have is that we have a pretty good DNA sample that is now in the federal database. So one of these days, I am hoping, we will get a hit and a match."
John Ramsey is now 63 and has attempted to move on with his life since JonBenet's murder and Patsy Ramsey's death from ovarian cancer almost six years ago.
He has a new wife, Jan, and she has two grown daughters.
"I want to remember JonBenet the way she was, a beautiful little girl," said Ramsey.
