Ann Coulter and Whoopi Goldberg Get Into Heated Exchange

Fireworks erupted between Whoopi Goldberg and conservative commentator Ann Coulter on The View.

Thursday morning, Coulter appeared on the talk show to promote her new book, Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama. In it, she calls white liberals racist.  

The quarrel started when Goldberg said, “If you're going to talk about race at least know what you're talking about.”
 
Coulter replied, “What don't I know?”
 
“Tell me how much you know about being black? Your facts are a just a little shaky," said Goldberg.

Coulter said, “I don't think liberals care about black people. The Democratic segregationists were all liberal Democrats. It was a lie that they were conservative Democrats."

Goldberg fired back and said, "Everybody was. White people were. It didn't matter that they were Republican or Democrats."
