Man Arrested On Battery Charges For Wedgies

A Florida man found out the hard way that giving complete strangers wedgies is all fun and games, until you get arrested. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

He jumps over total strangers, and kisses them. He walks over them on his hands while they're trying to get a little sun.

Charles Ross has a huge YouTube following for his wacky pranks. He has five million views, and counting.

But the 18-year-old from Florida rubs some people the wrong way. Now, he's really gone too far. He's been arrested on battery charges for his latest prank. What was it?

He tore a page from popular culture and gave perfect strangers wedgies like the ones seen in the movie The Girl Next Door, and the classic Seinfeld episode where a gym teacher gives a young George Costanza a wedgie.

Ross allegedly gave wedgies to numerous people leaving a movie theater and one of them did not turn the other cheek.

"I'm sorry. It was supposed to be a joke. Some people can find the humor and laugh at it. Others can't," said Ross.

The police report says:

"Ross grabbed the victim by the back of his pants and pulled them up hard. Ross then challenged the victim, asking if he wanted to hit him."

The prankster admits he went too far.

"It was a joke that I was playing, yes, but that doesn't mean what I was doing was okay," said Ross.
