A shocking video of two young girls fighting for the entertainment of the crowd around them is causing a stir. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
A shocking video of two little girls, six and seven years old, fighting each other simply for the entertainment of a crowd who thinks it’s funny.
Cops say the little girls were egged on by teenagers who recorded it on a cell phone and then unbelievably posted it on YouTube for all the world to see.
Heard in the background of the video, a watcher says, "Slap her! Just slap her!"
New York City police say a 17-year-old girl incited her own 6-year-old sister to start the fight by slapping a seven-year-old girl.
The six-year-old then pulls her by the hair and starts punching her, but the seven-year-old won't fight back. The teenagers just stand around laughing and cheering.
Then in a truly heartbreaking moment, the girl who won't fight breaks down in tears. It turns out they're friends.
In the video, the seven-year-old girl said, “I’m not playing! I like this little girl!”
It's not the first time kids have been caught on tape being egged on by family members who should know better.
A dad in Tampa was sentenced to parenting classes after he coached his 16-year-old son during a fistfight with another teenager in 2011.
And a mom pleaded no contest to egging on her daughter in a 2010 fight in Palmetto, Florida.
In the fight between the two little girls, Cops told INSIDE EDITION, they know their identity and are tracking down the mean teenagers who incited the fight. They now face possible charges of endangering the welfare of children.
