Samuel L. Jackson spoke his mind to a reporter on live TV who confused him with Laurence Fishburne. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
More fallout from that live TV scolding by Samuel L. Jackson after a TV personality confused him with Laurence Fishburne.
Jackson said, “We don't all look alike! We may be all black and famous, but we don't all look alike!”
Los Angeles based entertainment reporter Sam Rubin was interviewing Jackson about his new movie RoboCop. He asked him about a Super Bowl ad which actually stared Fishburne.
Rubin asked, "Did you get alot of reaction from your Super Bowl commercial?"
Jackson asked, "What Super Bowl commercial?"
Jackson then went ballistic, saying, "See you are just as crazy as those people on Twitter. I am not Laurence Fishburne! I'm the other guy! The other one. ‘What's in your wallet?’ I'm that guy! There's more than one black guy doing a commercial.”
Rubin told INSIDE EDITION, “I really felt badly. I felt badly he seemingly was so upset about it. I tried to make it clear how badly I felt. Maybe he wanted more than that.”
On live TV Jackson screamed, “You the entertainment reporter for this station? And you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne?”
The video is going viral and everybody seems to be talking about it.
Aisha Tyler said on The Talk, "We've all been interviewed by him at some point and he's a perfectly nice guy!"
Julie Chen then joked, "But he thought I was Connie Chung!"
Larry King said Sam Rubin should be let off the hook, saying, “It's never happened to me. That's pretty embarrassing. I like Sam and I’ll give him one. Come on!”
Rubin apologized again on the air on Tuesday, saying, “The big lesson for me is it's much easier to report the news than to actually be the news!”
