Rob Lowe Says It Isn't Easy Being Pretty

In his self-effacing manner, Rob Lowe says being good looking has its challenges. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

It isn't easy being ridiculously good looking.

That's the word from 50-year-old Rob Lowe, who said he didn't get the roles he wanted because he was just gosh darn handsome.

"There's this unbelievable bias and prejudice against quote-unquote good-looking people, that they can't be in pain or they can't have rough lives or be deep or interesting," Lowe told The New York Times in an interview promoting his new memoir, Love Life.

George Stephanopoulos asked him about it Tuesday on Good Morning America. Lowe managed to laugh it off.

Stephanopoulos asked, "There is this unbelievable bias and prejudice against quote, unquote people who are too handsome?"

Lowe jokingly replied, "You know George, you are just the journalist to bring this to light, because it's a national tragedy. Statistics show that worldwide, a minimum of 20-30 people suffer from this."
