Melissa McCarthy Is Furious At Top Fashion Designers

Melissa McCarthy is letting her feelings known about some of fashion's top designers, saying they refuse to dress her. INSIDE EDITION explains.

Funny lady Melissa McCarthy is steaming mad. The plus-sized comic actress is angry because the world's top named designers won't make dresses for women her size.

In an interview in July’s Redbook magazine, the Bridesmaids star said, "Two Oscars ago, I couldn't find anybody to do a dress for me. I asked five or six designers, very high level ones who make lots of dresses for people and they all said no."

That's when she decided to start her own line with designer Daniella Pearl. They designed this gown she wore to the Emmy’s.

On The View Thursday, guest co-host Rosanne Barr said she had the same exact problem as McCarthy.

Barr said, “To go to the Emmy’s I couldn't get anybody to do it either. It made me so mad because one top New York designer who wears a size 16 herself, doesn't even make a size 16 and I got mad and called her up and cursed her out."

There's no word yet when McCarthy’s fashions for full figured women will be available in stores.
