Oracle President's Jilted Girlfriend Gets Billboard Revenge
The jilted girlfriend of Oracle president Charles Phillips has come up with an unusual way of dealing with her anger: she put up several billboards in New York City advertising their relationship. INSIDE EDITION has more.
A jilted girlfriend is getting revenge on one of America's most powerful businessmen by revealing their affair on giant billboards.
The first billboard went up in New York's Times Square. Another was posted seven blocks away.
Charles Phillips is the president of the software giant Oracle and a member of President Obama's economic recovery advisory board.
One billboard shows Phillips and his former girlfriend, 41-year-old YaVaughnie Wilkins. The caption reads, "You are my soulmate forever."
On January 22nd, just hours after the billboards made front page news, a crane was hired to take the billboard down.
The five billboards cost Wilkins $250,000. They refer people to her website, which details the affair year-by-year.
The two began dating in 2001 and even lived together in a palatial San Francisco mansion. But last year the 50-year-old business titan reconciled with his wife Karen after a long separation.
Phillips said in statement: "I had an 8 1/2 year serious relationship with YaVaughnie Wilkins. The relationship has since ended and we wish each other well."
Last year Phillips joined other financial experts at the White House as President Obama announced his economic recovery team. It's the second embarrassment involving a presidential advisor this month.
Budget director Peter Orszag fathered a secret love child with heiress Claire Milonas. He is now engaged to ABC News correspondent Bianna Golodryga.
