A coffee shop was where Robin Williams spent some of his last hours. Now his friends are wondering whether what he was wearing could have been a clue to his mental state.
The manager told INSIDE EDITION, "The black thing, of course it was like, oh god. Should I have noticed something? Should someone have noticed something?"
After leaving the coffee shop, Williams apparently headed to an AA meeting.
Robin Williams' long time friend and comedian Argus Hamilton said, "I heard from a guy from San Francisco, in our meeting down here in Beverly Hills, that he had seen Robin just the night before last at his AA meeting in San Francisco, shaking hands with newcomers at the front door, which was his commitment at the meeting. Having gotten out of rehab and really seeming to enjoy sobriety."
Meanwhile, the country's sense of loss continues. Jimmy Fallon fought back tears as he mourned his friend.
"We, like all of you, were shaken up a bit last night when we learned that genius actor and comedian Robin Williams had passed away," said Fallon on The Tonight Show.
Fallon then played a clip of Williams' very first Tonight Show appearance in 1981, when the host was Johnny Carson. Fallon ended by mimicking a famous scene in Dead Poets Society.
Fallon said, "Oh captain, my captain, you will be missed!"
The San Francisco Giants, Williams' favorite baseball team, held a minute of silence at Tuesday night's game and showed images of their lifelong fan on the giant screen.
Robin Williams' grieving children are also speaking out.
His 25-year-old daughter Zelda said, "While I'll never, ever understand how he could be loved so deeply and not find it in his heart to stay, there's minor comfort in knowing our grief and loss, in some small way, is shared with millions."
Williams' 30-year-old son, Zak, said, "I lost my father and a best friend and the world got a little grayer."
The actor's younger son, 23-year-old Cody, said, "I will miss him and take him everywhere I go for the rest of my life."
We're learning more about the woman who found Williams' body. His personal assistant Rebecca Spencer worked for him for two decades.
Williams paid tribute to his assistant when he won a lifetime achievement Golden Globe award in 2005.
"I also want to thank another amazing woman, Rebecca Jane Erwin Spencer who is my assistant, who has a quick way of really leveling me when I get too infused with myself going 'I'm a star.' She'll go 'Hey, Mork guy," said Williams.
Spencer found Williams slumped over with a belt around his neck. He killed himsef while his wife slept in her own bedroom.
