    Ellicott City Flooding: Photos Show Aftermath of Storm That Devastated Maryland Town

    As residents of Ellicott City, Md., learned over Memorial Day weekend, hurricanes aren't the only storms that can wreak havoc on entire communities. A massive cloud burst brought a 1,000-year flood event to the town for the second time in just two years. Here are photos of the devastation brought about by the storm and its fallout.

    According to witnesses, 39-year-old National Guard sergeant Eddison "Eddie" Hermond was swept away in the Ellicott City flood while trying to help rescue a woman. His body was found two days after the flood.
