It has been one month since Hurricane Ida, a storm just shy of a Category 5, ripped through Louisiana. As major cities like New Orleans recovered somewhat quickly, more rural areas of the state more severely impacted continue to struggle. But brick by brick, cities like Houma are slowly coming back, thanks to neighborly support and strong community ties.
