They are telling their stories in People magazine’s annual "Half Their Size" issue on newsstands Friday.

At first glance, Christina Jordan looks like the picture of health, but she says she used to weigh 271 pounds. Of all things, the motivation behind Jordan's weight loss was a trip to Disneyland.

The "happiest place on Earth” became a turning point for her when she tried to get onto the Indiana Jones Adventure ride and couldn’t fit.

"I was too big, I was so mortified, it was one of the most embarrassing days of my life," she told Inside Edition.

Right there, in that humiliating moment, she decided to change her life.

"I realized I can’t live like this. I have to change my life," she said.

She lost 134 pounds and is now a svelte 137 pounds. Her transformation even turned into a new career as she became a nutritionist.

"I started studying nutrition and I went back to school. I was my first patient," she said.

She even returned to Disneyland, and easily fit on the Indiana Jones ride.

Her turning point was the senior prom. Since then, she has made a remarkable change.

She told Inside Edition: "The first step I took was cutting all my portions in half and joining the gym."

"What is interesting, it is not just about weight loss," People magazine’s Executive Director of Content Strategy, Zoe Ruderman, told Inside Edition. "They have a whole new lease on life and are much happier now."
