Nicole Oulson was injured by the same bullet that killed her husband.

These two wives are on opposite sides of a Florida trial as they both testified in the "Stand Your Ground" defense case.

Defendant Curtis Reeves, 74, is accused of shooting and killing Chad Oulson, 43, in a Tampa movie theater after the two got into a confrontation before the movie, Lone Survivor, in January 2014.

The duo got into an argument because Oulson, who was sitting in front of Reeves and his wife, was texting on his phone. Oulson was said to be texting to reach his babysitter as the movie was set to start. Words were exchanged between the men and Oulson threw a bag of popcorn at the retired police captain.

Then a shot was fired, leaving Oulson dead and his wife, Nicole, wounded by the same bullet that killed her husband.

Nicole testified Thursday about the moment Curtis Reeves told her husband to stop texting.

"It wasn't a friendly ask, please or can you, do you mind? It was just, turn your phone off and put your phone away. Very demanding and very abrupt,” she recalled in court.

She added: "I thought this was so silly that it had gotten to this point."

Vivian Reeves, the wife of the accused murderer, also took the stand Wednesday and was asked whether her husband said anything to her after she heard the shot.

“He said, 'He hit me in the face,'" she recalled. "I just didn't know what happened."

"No punches were thrown, popcorn was clearly thrown but how does that come to the level of someone pulling out a gun and more importantly, using the gun as a result of popcorn being thrown," T.J Grimaldi, who represents Nicole Oulson, told Inside Edition.

Reeves has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. He is using Florida’s "Stand Your Ground" defense.

Judge Susan Barthle will decide whether the controversial defense holds water. If it does, Reeves will walk away a free man. If it doesn’t, he will go on trial for murder.
