The fire tore through the wooded area Monday in Santa Margarita, located in San Luis Obispo County, 200 miles north of Los Angeles.

All that remains of Galecki’s property is the chimney.

"My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire," Galecki said in a statement to CNN. "The threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile."

He added: "It's never the structures that create a community — it's the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it's that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it's a time to reach out and rebuild. We've done it before and we'll need to do it together again. And it will make our community even closer and stronger."

The 42-year-old actor bought the 160 acre property in 2011 for $1.2 million. The star bought the property as a vacation home and was not there at the time of the blaze.

"Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff's office," Galecki added in his statement. "I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt."

On Tuesday afternoon, the fire department, CalFire all and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff lifted evacuation orders and allowed residents to return to their homes and assess the damages caused by the blaze.
