Kim Kardashian Visits Trump, Seeking Presidential Pardon for 63-Year-Old Woman Serving Life Sentence
Kardashian first found out about 63-year-old Alice Johnson on social media. She's already been behind bars for 21 years.
Kim Kardashian goes to Washington, and she’s sitting down with President Trump.
The reality star is seeking clemency for a great-grandmother who is serving a life sentence for a first-time drug conviction.
“If you think about a decision that you’ve made in your life, and you get life without the possibility of parole for your first time, non-violent offense, there’s just something so wrong about that," Kardashian said.
The inmate is 64-year-old Alice Johnson, who has been behind bars for 21 years in Alabama.
Her daughter, Catina Scales, told InsideEdition.com she was thankful for Kardashian’s help.
“My family has been thrilled that someone with her celebrity status has decided to come in and truly help her," Scales said.
Kardashian is expected to get a friendly reception when she meets the president. After all, her husband Kanye West, is a vocal Trump supporter.
"I just love Trump," West said previously. "That’s my boy."
