More than 50 years after he checked it out, an Ohio man returned a library's copy of Life Magazine with the Beatles on the cover.
A man only identified as Brian wrote a letter to the Cuyahoga County Public Library apologizing for taking it “as a kid” the year it was published, in 1968.
He also sent $100, the AP reports.
The library capped the fees at $100. If they had not, the $ 0.10 a day late fee would’ve added up to $1,800 over five decades.
The library’s spokesperson said they forgive him and thanked him for doing the right thing.
It just might be safe to say he didn’t let them down.
