Activist Amanda Nguyen to Be the 1st South Asian Woman in Space

Activist Amanda Nguyen calls herself a ‘civil rights astronaut.’ That title was hard-won. As a student at Harvard, Nguyen survived a sexual assault, derailing her plans to become an astronaut. She authored a Sexual Assault Survivor’s Bill of Rights that passed unanimously through the U.S. Congress and the United Nations. More than a decade later, Nguyen will get to go into space on an upcoming Blue Origin flight. Inside Edition Digital’s TC Newman has more.
