Putin Opponent Alexei Navalny Dead at 47

Reports say activist and politician Alexei Navalny has died. Navalny was a vocal opponent of President Vladimir Putin. He was a lawyer and spent years rallying others and leading protests against the government. Navalny was serving a combined 30-year jail sentence. Reports from Russia's Federal Prison Service say Navalny died after a walk. Navalny’s wife says that Putin and his government “bear responsibility for what they did to our country, to my family and to my husband.”
