Bears Are Getting a Little Too Comfortable With Humans at Lake Tahoe Beach

Vacationers in Lake Tahoe have been getting an eyeful of black bears, who’ve been appearing on the beach in close proximity to humans. And while the ursines might make for an interesting photo-op, wildlife experts say bears this fearless of humans can be the sign of a very serious situation. A number of these bears may suffer from encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain that affects their behavior.
