Doctors Remove Over 500 Teeth From Boy's Mouth in Extremely Rare Case

A little boy is feeling a lot better after doctors removed over 500 teeth removed from his mouth. The 7-year-old had complained of swelling on one side of his lower jaw for several years. Upon examination, doctors discovered a large benign tumor. And within that tumor, there were hundreds of small, hard, tooth-like structures. The small teeth are sometimes known as odontoids or denticles. The boy's medical condition is called compound composite odontoma, and it is extremely rare.
