Dr. Fauci and Governor Cuomo Debate Favorite New York Foods: Pastrami or Cannoli

The US’s top disease expert is revealing his favorite comfort foods from home. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a native New Yorker, told Governor Andrew Cuomo on a coronavirus briefing call Monday that he could really go for a “steaming pastrami sandwich.” When Cuomo asked Fauci what food item he missed most while spending his time in Washington DC, Fauci responded that when thinking back to his childhood in Bensonhurst, he also loved Nathan’s hot dogs. “No cannolis? No meatballs?” Cuomo replied, laughing.
