Financial Advice Columnist Says She Was Scammed Out of $50K

Charlotte Cowles is a financial advice columnist for New York Magazine's popular website "The Cut." Cowles says she was just scammed out of $50,000.  It happened when she got a call from somebody claiming to be from Amazon questioning big purchases she did not make. A second caller followed up,  claiming Cowles was being targeted by scammers and that the only way to protect her money was to withdraw it immediately from her bank.
