Why Are These Chickens Frozen?

Recently there was a very strange scene in the yard of a Tampa, Florida, family. Their pet chickens stood stock still, not moving a feather. Were they scared stiff? Were they literally frozen? Was it some kind of prank? Their caretaker couldn't believe her eyes. "What is happening right now," she asked rhetorically. "Did I do something?" The birds didn’t say a word, but finally, the flock got moving.
