Chicago is where both President Barack Obama and basketball legend Michael Jordan first rose to prominence. Obama’s significant rise in politics began in Illinois, where he started off as a community organizer before becoming a senator. It was then that he launched a bid for the presidency. And it was in the Windy City that Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1984. Not long after, every kid in America wanted to “be like Mike.”
