The Fourth of July is a day of fun, food and fireworks for people, but for dogs, the patriotic holiday can be traumatic. The bright, booming bursts overhead often send pups scrambling for cover. Videos Inside Edition found on YouTube show dogs seeking shelter in the fridge and cowering in the dryer, among other places. With the holiday just around the corner, veterinarian Dr. Jeff Werber offered up some advice for calming your dog during fireworks. He says to distract your canine with a TV show featuring animals.
