    How to Make Sure Lettuce You’re Eating Is Safe From Bacteria

    Federal health officials have given the green light for the public to eat some romaine lettuce again after a massive E. coli outbreak, as long as it's grown outside the central coast of California. There are still things you can do to make sure the lettuce you eat won't make you sick. Food safety expert Peter DeLucia says to always use a colander to wash every type of lettuce because bacteria can breed in your sink.
