Victor Matheson, who studies lottery trends, told CBS News there are several reasons why, including the price of tickets, and the lottery being nationwide. It’s also harder to win now. “It's now a nationwide lottery,” he told CBS News. “So everyone everywhere in the country can buy this, which means there's a lot of people contributing to the jackpot.” Inside Edition Digital has more.
