Robots and Drones Are Stepping Up Where Humans Can’t During Coronavirus Lockdown

University grads at a school in Colombia weren’t able to attend their own commencement ceremony, on account of coronavirus lockdown orders. So a robot stood in for them. The happy little machine dressed up for the honors, with cap and gown. It also sported a tablet computer around its neck, so that its human counterparts at home could see what was happening. Elsewhere in Colombia, delivery bots are being used to deliver food to people in quarantine.
